Visio Divina image gallery

Visio Divina or Latin for ‘divine vision’ invites us to look prayerfully at a piece of art or a picture or even nature with the eyes of our heart. We will often be captured at that moment as we encounter Jesus there.

The pictures below are a smattering from my own travels and journey. As you gaze at the images (or pictures and art of your own choice), reflect on these questions:

• What do you observe in this scene?

• What do you notice?

• What part of the image are you drawn to?

• What’s happening there?

• How does this relate to your life right now?

• Where are you in the image?

• Where is God?

• What does this say about the relationship between you and God?

• What feeling does this image evoke in me?

• What is the invitation of God to me?
